Kalamazoo, MI — Sept. 11, 2020 The ride is on – let the music begin! The schedule for the second annual Fall Bike Celebration Weekend highlights attractions in and around the charming village of Vicksburg, Michigan and southwest Michigan on the third weekend in September from September 18-20.
During the event-filled weekend, Fall Celebration cyclists will enjoy a scenic bicycle tour with all routes passing by hauntingly beautiful Vicksburg Quilt Trail paintings. New for 2020, riders will start and finish on the grounds of the lovingly restored Vicksburg Historic Village. An open-air Schlitz Creek Bluegrass concert will delight live music lovers at the Gilmore Car Museum, highlighting its collection of restored bicycles. Capping off the weekend, $1,750+ in cash prizes will be announced in Bike Friendly Kalamazoo’s Public Bike Art Competition Award Ceremony. In addition to the small-scale live events, fascinating and important virtual presentations will cover development of the Vicksburg Quilt Trail, an update on the huge Mill entertainment complex in Vicksburg, bike to work programs and research on safe passing laws.
