VILLAGE OF VICKSBURG ANNOUNCES PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING DATE CHANGE
(VICKSBURG, MI) – The Village of Vicksburg announces that the Planning Commission meeting originally scheduled for Monday, November 9, 2026, has been rescheduled for Monday, November 23, 2026.
The adjustment gives the Village of Vicksburg and The Mill Group additional time to continue their collaborative efforts to finalize the proposed plan for The Mill Group’s anticipated 2027 Summer Concert Series.
Village Manager Jim Mallery emphasized that the additional time reflects a shared commitment to thoughtful planning, open communication, and a thorough review process.
“The Village of Vicksburg appreciates the continued cooperation and engagement of The Mill Group as we work together through the planning and review process,” stated Village of Vicksburg Manager Jim Mallery. “Our goal has always been to approach this exciting proposal in a positive, professional, and collaborative manner. By allowing additional time, we can continue working through the important details necessary to develop comprehensive plans that address the needs of the event organizers, our residents, neighboring communities, and public safety partners.”
The Village’s administration, engineering consultants, zoning representatives, and legal counsel will continue working with The Mill Group to review and clarify various components of the proposed plan in preparation for their eventual presentation to the Planning Commission and Village Council.
The Village recognizes the opportunities associated with bringing additional entertainment, visitors, and economic activity to the Vicksburg community and remains committed to working constructively with The Mill Group throughout the process.
“We welcome the opportunity to continue the productive collaboration with the Village to approve an event plan that will achieve our collective goal of activating the Mill site for commerce,” said The Mill Group founder Chris Moore.
