Business owner and President Zach Bishop moved his machining business from Augusta, Michigan to Vicksburg in November of 2020. The shop specializes in machining and prototype engineering for research and development. Zach says, “machining is how we make money, engineering is how we make customers.”
The near spotless shop is full of sophisticated state of the art equipment and a workhorse of a machine built in 1954 that, with a few modern upgrades, continues to churn out the precision parts that has made this business boom. That boom has resulted in two new employees in the short term and plans to add staff in the near future. The shop also contains an area to do custom work on motorcycles, an area that Zack plans to expand in the future.
4FLUTES works with local firm Dutchboys Hotrods, regional firms Stryker, Fabri-Kal and FBN Sales, and national firms Remington Arms and the U.S. Department of Defense, to name a few.
Zach credits Jamie Clark of Clark Logic with helping him get his business established in Vicksburg. The business is big on community involvement and was quick to include a design in Vicksburg Christmas Card Lane. 4FLUTES Machining is one of the businesses making Vicksburg’s future bright!
