10. Village Council Action Items:

 

1. METRO Act request: Staff is recommending a motion, support, and approval by roll-call vote the METRO Act Right-of-Way Telecommunications Bilateral Permit for Surf Air Wireless, LLC to provide high-speed Surf fiber internet to our community. Has been reviewed and supported by Village Attorney and Permits.
2. Redevelopment Ready Community (RRC): Presentation by Manager Mallery on MEDC program, Village of Vicksburg status, high priority goal of 2024 to become certified. Request Village Council Motion, Support, and approval for Village Manager to have a contract employee in place by January 15, 2024 to invest 3 months into obtaining RRC Certification.  An amount not to exceed $18,000.00.
3. 2024 Meeting Dates: Staff Recommends a motion, support, and approval of the 2024 Village Government meeting schedule.

 

11. Village Manager Report (Mallery)

 

1. Biggbys’ development update.
2. Homestead at Centennial PRD Update.
3. BURG Days of Summer Vicksburg Foundation Grant request approved $20K for 2024 and $20K for 2025.
4. UPDATE: IceBURG Event status.
5. New Municipal Building: Police are 80% moved into the new building, evidence room will be moved the week of Dec18th. Staff will begin moving Dec 8^th.
6. Due to the move to new building, we will have Village Hall closed Mon (18^th) – Wednesday (21^st).
7. Christmas in the BURG review
