12. Village Council Action Items:
    • Stage Right: Staff is recommending a motion, support, and approval for the Village Manager to purchase a new 12’ X 16’ stage from Stage Right, Inc. The price is not to exceed $7,695.00.  This stage will replace an approximately 25-year-old self-made one-piece stage that has become unsafe.  This is the same stage and setup as the stage the Village purchased in 2023. This purchase is budgeted within the Parks & Recreation budget.
    • Allen & Company: Staff is recommending a motion, support, and approval for the Village Manager to enter into a contract with J. Allen & Company to add asphalt carts paths to Angels Crossing around the 3^rd hole bridge to lower section of green, a short path with cul-de-sac on the east side of #3 green, leading up to and next to the 7^th hole green and 8^th hole tee-box. The cost is not to exceed
    • $53,500.00. This is the low bid when comparing 2.5 inches of asphalt and width of path.  One bid was only 2 inches of asphalt which was not accepted. The funding will be Golf Course Revenue savings and no general fund tax dollars will be used for this investment. This purchase is budgeted within the Angels Crossing budget
    • Mannik Smith Group: Staff is recommending a motion, support, and approval for the Village Manager to enter into a contract with Mannik Smith Group to provide professional services to develop the Village of Vicksburg’s Parks and Recreation Master Plan. The contract is valued $19,220.00. Trustees Pheils, Kissinger, and Cox participated in the interviews of the 3 firms that submitted proposals.
    • Village Administrative Staffing: Village Manager is requesting a motion, support, and approval to add 2 part-time staff members to the administrative team.
      • Position #1: This position will be 10 hours per week to coordinate social media, communication, community calendar, and assist with event planning. Annual investment is $12,000.00 per year.
      • Position #2: Data entry position will lead effort to digitalize historic village documentation, assist customer service, utility data, Angels Crossing data, etc. Annual investment is $23,000.00.
